FLOYD MAYWEATHER is the overwhelming favourite to come out trumps in his proposed super-fight against Conor McGregor.
As much as ‘The Notorious’ is a force to be reckoned with in the UFC, you’d not find many people giving him a chance against the 49-0 American champ in a boxing ring under boxing rules.

But UFC president Dana White believes the “bigger and stronger” McGregor stands more of a chance than people think.

He told X17 via Fox Sports: “The great thing about fights is you never know who’s going to win.
“Believe me, there’s a lot of weekends we put on fights and I think people aren’t going to win and they do. It’s the crazy thing about the fight business.
White added: “I mean if it was guaranteed that Floyd was going to win this fight, why would you pay for it? There’s no guarantees.

“Conor’s 27, Floyd’s 40. Conor’s the bigger, stronger guy. He’s got knockout power. It’s an interesting fight.”
After months of trash talk, the Irishman said: “September is what I’m thinking. That’s what the word is. That’s what we’re close to doing. I’ve tried to talk to Floyd. I flew to Las Vegas to have talks with Floyd, and then he retired.
“He just doesn’t want to see me. He’s petrified. Wouldn’t you be? No one knows what to expect with me, and they shouldn’t. Because I don’t know what to expect either.”
Mayweather wants the fight to happen sooner rather than later.
He all-but confirmed it is set for June 10, with reports suggesting the 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has been reserved on that date.
White, 47, is set to pay each fighter £20.5million EACH for them to finally seal their head-to-head.
