Hunt will face American Derrick Lewis at Vector Arena on June 11 as he looks to add another victory to his already dazzling career inside the octagon.
“We are thrilled to be returning to New Zealand,” UFC administrator Joe Carr said.
“We have seen tremendous growth and interest in UFC across New Zealand since our first live event in 2014.
“Coming back to Auckland, especially with Mark Hunt to compete in his home town for the first time in 16 years, is definitely something our fans should be excited about.”
Hunt’s opponent, Derrick Lewis, is looking to mount a charge towards the heavyweight strap, with the Auckland local eyeing off his first victory on home soil.
Australians on the card include Daniel Kelly who will face Derek Brunson, Ben Nguyen who will line up against Joseph Benavidez and Brisbane local Ashkan Mokhtarian, who will go head-to-head with John Moraga.
